NICK'S STORY
I began my cooking journey at home watching my mom cook and asking my dad to try it out to see what it needed. This fascinated me that he could just taste something and say, it needs a little bit of this.
Later on, I hated paying restaurant prices for food that I could cook at home for half the price. I would bring dates home to cook them meals instead of going out.Ā
When I graduated high school I took an overnight job and started cooking breakfast for my family on my days off while they were sleeping. The funny thing was, I never thought of doing this as a career.
It wasn't until college and taking a couple of culinary classes that I realized how much I loved cooking and seeing people's happy faces. This was over 20 years ago.
Now I want to share this knowledge with you.
IT WASN'T ALWAYS EASY
Ā
Searching for knowledge and always feeling that I was behind everyone else really made things difficult for me and I felt that I wasn't good enough. This drive to "catch up" to my peers is what helped me become who I am today, and helped me to understandĀ how harmony of life and work was so important. This way of thinking was different from many of my coworkers. Now I want to share that with you.
