Hospitality Leadership Programs · Park City

Great on the floor. Never trained to lead it.

In a hotel, your best line cook becomes sous chef. Your best server runs the floor. Your sharpest agent becomes manager on duty, usually right before the season hits.

These programs give your new supervisors the systems professional kitchens use to lead a team under pressure: preparation, clear standards, and a steady hand when the house is full.

Why the kitchen

The night is decided before the first ticket prints.

Every kitchen I ran taught me the same thing. When the stations are set and everyone knows the plan, a 500-guest banquet runs calm. When they aren't, even a slow Tuesday goes sideways.

Most new supervisors were never shown that. They were great at the work, so we handed them the team and hoped.

That's the gap these programs close.

Programs

Four ways to bring this to your team

Start small. Most properties begin with a lunch-and-learn and grow from there.

Lunch-and-learn · 60 minutes

Start here

One tool, used the same shift

Each session teaches one tool your supervisors can use that afternoon:

  • The R.E.S.E.T. Method™: a 60-second reset when the rush hits
  • Take Your Week Back: a 30-minute weekly plan
  • Mise en Place for Managers: preparation before every shift

Best for supervisors and department heads, any season. On-site or virtual.

Keynote · 45 minutes

Promoted for the Work, Not the People

Why your best frontline people struggle when they become supervisors, and the kitchen systems that close the gap. Stories from 25 years on the line, with tools your managers can use the next day.

Best for all-manager meetings and pre-season kickoffs.

Leadership cohort · 12 weeks

The Chef's Code for New Supervisors

Small-group sessions built on six rules from professional kitchens, with practical worksheets and a weekly self-assessment so you and your leaders can see the progress.

Best for a group of new supervisors, run in the shoulder season.

1:1 coaching · 12 sessions and up

High Performance Coaching

Private coaching for GMs, department heads, and newly promoted leaders. Clarity, energy, focus, and influence, built around their real week.

Best for one leader at a time, any season.

The Chef's Code

Six rules every good shift runs on

1 · Mise en Place

Preparation before the rush

2 · Taste Everything

See what's really happening on the floor

3 · Control Your Fire

Focus on what matters most

4 · Clean As You Go

Handle problems while they're small

5 · Surround Yourself with Support

Nobody leads a shift alone

6 · Serve with Intention

Lead by showing up fully

Built around your season

Train in the quiet months. Lead through the busy ones.

Spring · April to June

Run the 12-week cohort

Your supervisors finish trained before summer weddings, conferences, and events.

Fall · September to November

Kick off the season

A keynote or lunch-and-learn for your managers before ski season opens.

Peak · December to March

Keep it short

60-minute sessions that fit before a shift, on-site or virtual.

What changes

What your guests and your team will notice

Pre-shift huddles that set up the night, not just the schedule.

Supervisors who stay steady when the house is full.

Small problems handled early, before they reach a guest review.

Good people who still have something left when they get home.

From coaching clients
